Addressing Healthcare Executive Burnout: It's Not Only You

April 11, 2023 Webinar Recording
1 ACHE Qualifying Education credit

Data shows that burnout is taking a toll on healthcare leaders. Nearly three-quarters of executives surveyed by WittKieffer say they've recently experienced burnout. This isn't surprising, given the multiple crises healthcare executives face. Burnout jeopardizes not only executives’ quality of life but also their ability to lead through organizational change with innovative ideas and compassion. When healthcare leaders experience burnout, providers, patients and staff are negatively affected as well. This session shares findings from WittKieffer's survey report on executive burnout and provides recommendations for boards, CEOs and executives on how to work together to stem the tide of a severe, systemic issue. There also will be an opportunity for a Q&A.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the common causes of healthcare executive burnout.
  • Describe research-backed strategies that leaders can take to reduce burnout in their organizations.
