Addressing Burnout: A Calling to Cultivate Change
The healthcare profession is known for being a hotbed for incivility, bullying and disruptive behavior. The Joint Commission has put out numerous alerts calling for organizations to have a structure in place to address disruptive behaviors. Research and evidence have shown there is a direct link from culture to patient safety and quality.
For organizations to be successful in creating a healthy work environment, leaders must be equipped with the tools they need. In this session, we will share some tangible steps from a case-study example on how to cultivate a healthy work environment with a powerful coalition and mitigate disruptive behavior. The shared strategies will help reframe priorities, breathe life back into front-line teams, inspire confidence in leaders and reconnect healthcare professionals with their WHY during this historical time in healthcare.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify new techniques to enhance team and leadership relationships and have the team solve incivility, bullying and disruptive behavior.
