Biography
Monica L. Nakielski is a strategic advisor on ESG and sustainability with over 15 years of experience, guiding Fortune 500 firms, governments and nonprofits. Previously, Nakielski led sustainability at Advocate Aurora Health, was the NA Healthcare Practice Lead at the global sustainability consultancy Anthesis, managed the sustainability program at Mass General Brigham (formerly Partners HealthCare) and served as the head of Sustainability at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
Nakielski's influence extends beyond her executive roles, as evidenced by her commitment to transformative change. She chairs the board of Healthy Building Network and sits on the steering committee for The Chemical Footprint Project.
Nakielski’s contributions garnered industry recognition, notably as a recipient of the prestigious 2022 Women in Sustainability Leadership Award. Nakielski is a published author on the topics of ESG, sustainability, communications and driving actionable results. Nakielski holds an MBA from Simmons School of Management, a BS from University of Wisconsin, Madison and Executive Education for Sustainability Leadership Certificate from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
