Biography
Melissa Swift, a seasoned human resources thought leader and consultant, is the U.S. transformation leader at Mercer, a global human resources and wealth management consultancy. There, she leads the company's transformation practice for North America, which brings together advanced workforce analytics, empathetic employee research and innovative skills analysis to redefine how organizations think about the humans who power their businesses.
Prior to Mercer, she was senior client partner at Korn Ferry, where she led the firm's global workforce transformation practices and partnered with their largest accounts to imagine, design and evolve their workforces to be equipped for continuous change. Ms. Swift also founded a research institute on leadership of the future for Russell Reynolds Associates; launched two environmental, social and governance practices at Deloitte; and conducted landmark carbon credit trades for Deutsche Bank.
Widely recognized as an authority on the human side of workplace transformation, she serves as a trusted adviser to C-suite executives at large organizations and has been a leading voice on reshaping work in the pandemic era. Ms. Swift is currently writing a new book, titled Work Here Now: Think Like a Human and Build a Powerhouse Workplace , which explores 100 practical strategies to get to a more human future of work. Her research has been published in Harvard Business Review and The Wall Street Journal, and her insights have been quoted inNewsweek, The Washington Post, The Economist, Axios and more. In addition to being a lead contributor to online publication The Enterprisers Project, she has also appeared on NPR and Al Jazeera English, has been featured as one of Twitter's "20 Digital Transformation Leaders to Follow" and named a "Top Influencer on the Future of Work" by Onalytica.
