Biography

Lee J. Hirsch is an attorney in private practice specializing in healthcare and corporate issues. He has been practicing law for more than 25 years in a variety of settings including as a member and partner of an international law firm and then as general counsel at New York Downtown Hospital (now known as NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital).
 
His career has focused on physician practices, regulatory compliance, healthcare structures and the acquisition and disposition of healthcare organizations. During his tenure at New York Downtown Hospital, he served as a senior vice president, where he was responsible for risk management and compliance. He was also chief of staff to the CEO. He was involved in a variety of operational issues and confronted the challenges of a small, New York-based community hospital.
 
Mr. Hirsch earned his juris doctor from the New York University School of Law and has a master of public health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. Mr. Hirsch is a member of the adjunct faculty for The Consulting Practice at Mailman.
