Biography

Jill Holdsworth obtained a Master of Science in Exercise Science from Marshall University and began her career as a cardiac rehab therapist before working as an infection preventionist (IP) in 2009 and obtaining her CIC after one year in the field and becoming a Fellow of APIC in 2016. Holdsworth was the president of the Washington, D.C. APIC chapter in 2014, the 2015-2016 APIC National Emergency Management Committee chairman and is currently the AAMI Protective Barriers Committee co-chair. Holdsworth is a certified EMT and a volunteer with the Emory EMS program, is certified in sterile processing through HSPA as a CRCST and was the 2022 HSPA Certification Council chairman. Holdsworth is currently serving on the APIC National Board of Directors and is working in Atlanta as the manager of Infection Prevention at Emory University Hospital Midtown.
