Dr. Wheeler received his medical degree and completed a residency in anatomic pathology at the University of Washington in Seattle followed by postgraduate fellowships at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) in Washington, D.C. For over 20 years, he has provided patient care for Quest Diagnostics, a global laboratory services company, where he currently serves as vice president of Pathology and Medical Services. His focus has been on elevating cancer diagnostics across a number of medical subspecialities and improving the delivery of laboratory health care services through innovation via applications in digital pathology and artificial intelligence.
