Currently, Susan L. Glover, DOL, FACHE, serves as the system vice president for the Adventist HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute. In this role, Dr. Glover is developing a system of care across all Adventist HealthCare sites for patients with cardiovascular disease. Previously, Dr. Glover had served as the chief quality officer for Adventist HealthCare, located in Gaithersburg, Md., since 2001. In this role, she was responsible for the overall strategy and approach for quality and safety in the organization. This included leading a systemwide performance improvement approach and the deployment, clinical effectiveness, and optimization of an EMR to improve the quality and safety of care for the community and healthcare workers. She was also responsible for compliance, organizational integrity and internal audit services. Previously, Dr. Glover served in various executive and nursing roles in Adventist HealthCare organizations over the course of 34 years.

In addition to her work, she is the past board member and chair of the Maryland Patient Safety Center. Dr. Glover has served on various boards focused on quality, safety and prevention of domestic violence and abuse. She currently serves on the Montgomery Hospice Board. Her personal and professional goals include developing a deeper understanding of the art and science of leadership in order to help leaders and teams achieve their goals and mission.
