Stephen L. Walston, PhD, is a professor and former director of the Master of Health Administration at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. Previously he served as vice president for academic affairs at the University of Utah Asia Campus at the Incheon Global Campus in Songdo, South Korea, and was a professor on the faculty of the Division of Public Health in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine in the University of Utah’s Medical School. Dr. Walston was previously a professor and associate dean for academic affairs in the Department of Health Administration and Policy at the University of Oklahoma’s College of Public Health and the director of the Master of Health Administration program at Indiana University. Prior to his academic career, he spent 14 years as an executive in hospitals in the western United States, including ten years as a CEO.
