Stephanie J. Underwood is vice president of Phillips DiPisa & Associates. She has nearly 25 years of experience leading the complex recruitment of highly qualified candidates with hospitals, healthcare systems, academic medical centers and managed care organizations. Previously, she held the title of senior vice president at a healthcare executive search firm based in Atlanta, where she led the firm’s Philadelphia office and chaired its taskforce on children’s hospitals. Ms. Underwood is a Member of ACHE and is active in the local Philadelphia area chapter. Earlier in her career she worked in public relations at hospitals in Pennsylvania and Louisiana. Familiar with Lean organizations’ desires to streamline, yet still attract high-quality leaders, her knowledge of her client base is wide-ranging, demonstrating a grasp of how healthcare must bridge the gaps within science, business and culture. Ms. Underwood received her bachelor’s degree in journalism form Louisiana Tech University.
