Sarah Healey Herod is the assistant vice president for Northwell Health’s Integrated Operations. She is focused on business development for Integrated Operations, as well as leading the site administrators who run practice management operations at Northwell’s 17 emergency departments. Sarah was integral to Northwell’s initiative to become the first health system in the country to earn Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation at every system-owned emergency department. She has also launched Northwell’s first direct-to-consumer emergency telehealth service.

Sarah joined Northwell’s Emergency Medicine Service Line after completing her administrative fellowship at Northwell in 2016. Prior to her career at Northwell, Sarah earned her MPH from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. During her studies, she developed an interest in integrated care delivery by working in patient experience at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
