Patsy Engel is on the faculty of Catalysis, Appleton, Wis., a company focused on educational programs and resources designed to transform healthcare value, where she teaches the management system curriculum in the U.S. and Canada. Ms. Engel is a registered nurse with 25 years of clinical experience, and a certified asthma educator. She holds a Lean Bronze Certification from the SME/AME (manufacturing associations). Ms. Engel previously held various positions at ThedaCare, northeast Wis., including that of Director of Spread and Best Practice in the hospital division. She was integral in the development of ThedaCare’s lean management system and served as an improvement coach and mentor at all levels of that organization.
