Biography

As vice president of Managed Care, Mr. Jeff Anderson oversees Lifepoint Health’s managed care contracting, strategy, management and operations for its 58 acute-care hospitals, more than 3,000 employed physicians and over 60 behavioral health and inpatient rehabilitation facilities. Anderson also leads Lifepoint’s Advantage Point Health Alliance CIN which consists of eight CINs nationally, over 40 hospitals, 2,300 providers and 261,000 attributed lives from MSSP, Medicare Advantage, Managed Medicaid and commercial value-based contracts.

Prior to joining Lifepoint, Anderson served as vice president of Managed Care for Advocate Health Care in Oak Brook, Illinois from 2016-2022. He was responsible for managed care contracting and strategy for the 5,000 employed and independent physician member CIN with 1 million attributed lives, Advocate’s 10 acute-care hospitals and other Advocate-owned entities. He also led the development of new products and programs that aligned with Advocate’s strategic goals.

Anderson has also worked for the Adventist Health System - Midwest Region in Hinsdale, Illinois, a previous role with Advocate Health, Edward Hospital in Naperville, Illinois, West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois and MetLife Insurance.

Anderson has over 30 years of managed care experience in health system strategy, hospital, physician, PHO/CIN, value-based and capitation risk contracting, PHO management and operations, payer product and network development and underwriting.

Anderson earned his bachelor’s degree in public relations from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois.

He is a member of the American Hospital Association Health Plan Accountability Work Group, Federation of American Hospitals Rural Hospitals Committee and an Embright CIN (Washington state) Board Member.
