Hamid Ravaghi, PhD, is currently working as regional advisor for hospital care and management in the World Health Organization—Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office in Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Ravaghi has a PhD in health policy and management from the University of York, U.K. He is an associate professor of health policy and management at the Iran University of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Ravaghi has worked as an international consultant in hospital management and has served as hospital director, policymaker and advisor for 20 years. He has taught various master's and PhD programs, as well as senior continuing education courses, and has published more than 60 articles.
