Biography
Fayola Edwards-Ojeba, MD is the founder and CEO of RechargedMD. As a board-certified internist and former clinical assistant professor at UCSF, Dr. Edwards-Ojeba has cared for patients and taught internal medicine residents. During her time as a practicing physician, she has experienced the deep gratification and frustration of clinical practice. She overcame the struggles of burnout with the tools and services she turned into RechargedMD.
She aims to advance the national discourse around burnout to focus on systems- level challenges and help provide solutions that are effective in this rapidly changing healthcare landscape. Through RechargedMD, her mission is to help health systems create sustainable internal wellness and peer support programs.
Dr. Edwards-Ojeba is currently an attending physician at UCSF, a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and served on the Board of the California Association of Healthcare Leaders. She graduated from Harvard College with honors, attended Yale Medical School and completed her Internal Medicine Residency training at UCSF.
