Alan Belasen, PhD, is an experienced leadership development coach; consultant; and trainer in the United States and worldwide. He led the design and implementation of master’s in business administration programs in management, global leadership, and healthcare leadership at State University of New York (SUNY) Empire State College, and he chaired all three for many years. Dr. Belasen has published on topics such as executive education, self-managed teams, women’s leadership, corruption in business, reputation management, and healthcare communication. His latest articles appear in the Journal of Health Organization and Management, Journal of Health Administration and Education, and Journal of Management Development. His most recent books are Women in Management: A Framework for Sustainable Work–Life Integration (Routledge, 2017) and Mastering Leadership: A Vital Resource for Health Care Organizations (Jones & Bartlett, 2015). Dr. Belasen is the recipient of the IACBE John L. Green Award for Excellence in Business Education.
