Dr. David Peng has been the chair of the Department of Dermatology at USC since 2013. In addition, he is director of the Dermatology clinic at the Melanoma Center of the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Peng served as the chair of the Virtual Care Committee for the Keck Hospital of USC from 2016 to 2018. Dr. Peng was appointed vice president of USC Care Medical Group in 2018 and has been serving as the president since 2019. Dr. Peng manages the inpatient dermatology service for both LAC+USC Medical Center and the Keck Hospital of USC caring for patients with severe skin diseases requiring hospitalization. He is a Fellow of the American Contact Dermatitis Society. He is the recipient of research grants from the National Institutes of Health, the Wright Foundation of the Keck School of Medicine at USC and the California Endowment.
Dr. Peng’s clinical interests focus on medical dermatology and melanoma skin cancers. He is director of the Contact Dermatitis and Occupational Dermatology clinic at USC, specializing in full-spectrum contact patch testing for cutaneous allergies. Dr. Peng received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He received his master’s degree in public health from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Public Health. His residency and chief residency in dermatology were completed at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Peng is board certified in dermatology.
