Director/Cerner ITWorks Client Leader East Jefferson General Hospital
Rossy Balmaceda, RN, has served as Cerner ITWorks client leader at East Jefferson General Hospital since September 2019. In this role, Rossy works with hospital leaders to accelerate the organization’s use of information technology to improve the health and well-being of patients in the Metairie, La. area. Rossy started her career with Cerner in 2012 as an ITWorks ambulatory analyst at East Jefferson General Hospital. In 2014, she became the team lead over the physician support team, and in 2015, she became the application leader for the site while managing the clinical informatics team. She has also served as operations leader for the ITWorks team. Before joining Cerner, Rossy worked as a registered nurse on a step-down ICU unit for five years and then worked as an ICU nurse for almost two years. Rossy is a registered nurse and attended Louisiana State University School of Nursing.
