Leveraging Leadership Potential of Rehabilitation Professionals

This presentation will focus on how rehabilitation professionals (physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists and audiologists) are well positioned for leadership in health systems. It will include a discussion of the unique qualities, competencies and value rehabilitation professionals bring to the leadership table in addition to their patient care and clinical roles.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss essential competencies that rehabilitation professionals bring to their positions in health systems and organizations.
  • Identify three examples of how rehabilitation professionals exercise executive leadership in their practice settings.
