Price Transparency: Where Are We Now and What’s Next

May 9, 2023 Recording
1 ACHE Qualifying Education credit

One of the most pressing healthcare issues in the United States is the availability of pricing information for consumers before they receive healthcare services. Each hospital operating in the United States is now required to provide a consumer-friendly online tool with pricing information for common shoppable healthcare services. In the near future, health plans will be required to provide pricing information and estimated out-of-pocket cost information for all services. This session will address the changing landscape of these price transparency initiatives and teach healthcare leaders how to prepare for the upcoming changes. This session will also guide healthcare leaders to navigate the complexities of patient financial experience, which is becoming an integral part of overall patient and consumer experience.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the future price transparency compliance needs for hospitals and health plans.
  • Discuss the value of creating a digital front door for navigating patient financial experience.
