<p><strong>Carson F. Dye, FACHE,</strong> president and CEO of Exceptional Leadership LLC, is a seasoned consultant with more than 40 years of leadership and management experience. He has served as an executive search consultant and partner with Witt/Kieffer, TMP Worldwide, and LAI/Lamalie Associates. Prior to these roles, he was partner and director of Findley Davies’s healthcare consulting division in Toledo, Ohio. He has 20 years of experience in healthcare administration, serving in executive-level positions at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Clermont Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.&nbsp;<br><br>Mr. Dye has been a regular faculty member for the American College of Healthcare Executives since 1987 and has presented workshops for 40 state and local hospital associations. He has written 10 other books, all published by ACHE Learn, including three James A. Hamilton Book of the Year Award winners: <em><i>The Healthcare Leader’s Guide to Actions, Awareness, and Perception</i></em>; <em><i>Developing Physician Leaders for Successful Clinical Integration</i></em>; and <em><i>Leadership in Healthcare: Values at the Top</i></em>. <p>Sarah Freymann Fontenot, JD, served as the adjunct professor for health law in the Department of Health Care Administration at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas for 26 years and retired in 2023. A former nurse and practicing attorney, she is also a professional speaker who specializes in explaining how healthcare is evolving and what those changes mean for providers. Fontenot also has taught extensively for physician organizations including the Texas Medical Association and for ACHE since 2007, for which she is an online instructor for the Board of Governors Examination Review course, Health Law Essentials. Previously, Fontenot taught in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at Yale Medical School in New Haven, Connecticut. </p>

<div>Bernard Horak is a professor and program director of health systems administration at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where he teaches courses in quality improvement, strategic planning and organizational behavior. Previously, Dr. Horak was director of strategic planning and total quality management at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He earned a doctorate from The George Washington University with specialties in health services administration and organization behavior and development.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Dr. Horak serves as faculty for the following ACHE seminar:</div><div><ul><li>Quality and Performance Management, Board of Governors Exam Review Course&nbsp;</li></ul></div>

Michael Nowicki, EdD, FACHE, is a professor of health administration at Texas State University, where his teaching, research and service have been recognized with several university awards. <div>&nbsp;</div> <div id="pastingspan1"></div> <div id="pastingspan1">Prior to joining academe, Dr. Nowicki was director of process management in the Hospital Division of Humana for six years. Dr. Nowicki has also held a variety of administrative positions at Valley Medical Center, Fresno, Calif.; Hutzel Hospital, Detroit; Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington, D.C.; and Lubbock (Texas) Medical Center. Dr. Nowicki has provided training support to healthcare organizations such as University of California&#8212;San Diego, Defense Health Agency, Spectrum Health, Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, Cardinal Health, Kaiser Permanente, HCA, Baylor Healthcare System and Howard University Hospital.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div id="pastingspan1"></div> <div id="pastingspan1">Dr. Nowicki is board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He served ACHE as Regent for Texas&#8212;Central &amp; South, chair of the Book of the Year Committee and as a member of the Finance Committee. Larry Tyler, FACHE, FAAHC, FHFMA, CMPE</span><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">, is the founder/president, Tyler &amp; Company, Atlanta, a healthcare executive search firm. He began the firm in 1978 and has since conducted over 160 CEO searches for hospitals across the United States. In 2008, <em>BusinessWeek</em> magazine named him one of the 100 most influential executive search consultants in the world. Mr. Tyler is also an adjunct professor in the health administration programs at the University of Colorado Denver and the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Ala. <p>Kenneth R. White, PhD, AGACNP, ACHPN, FACHE, FAAN, is the University of Virginia Medical Center-endowed professor of nursing and associate dean for strategic partnerships and innovation in the School of Nursing, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va. He holds additional faculty appointments in the McIntire School of Commerce, the Darden School of Business and the UVA School of Medicine. Dr. White has more than 40 years&#8217; experience in healthcare organizations working in clinical, administrative, governance and consulting capacities. He is also a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner with specialty board certification in palliative care.
