2024 Atlanta Cluster
Monday, October 21 – Wednesday, October 23, 2024Effective, Credible and Accountable Leadership in the C-suite
Our patients, employees, clinicians and communities deserve the very best we can provide. When leaders and boards struggle with effective and credible leadership, it can result in a disengaged workforce, a misaligned culture and patients who lose trust in the organization. This involves a level of self-awareness and skills that don’t often develop through technical expertise or experience. Emotional intelligence, honest self-assessment, humility and courage are valuable for successful leaders.
This session will focus on what values-driven leadership means on a daily basis in a variety of different settings, using examples from the experiences of C-suite leaders and board members. Topics include self-awareness and emotional intelligence; culture, character and accountability; diversity, equity and inclusion; effective communication; psychological safety; critical thinking and strategy; mindfulness and resilience; power and politics; governance versus management; and compassion and caring. This interactive session will demonstrate the integration of these topics with real-time situations, leaving sufficient time for audience discussion and questions.
