Welcome to Congress: Reimagine Healthcare, Solutions, Leadership

By Deborah J. Bowen, FACHE, CAE

Greetings, colleagues. Welcome to the re-imagined Congress on Healthcare Leadership. We’re excited to share this innovative, virtual experience. I appreciate that you’ve carved out some of your precious time to reconnect with your ACHE community this week. We know some may miss getting together in person—and we miss having you here in Chicago!—but we have aspired to hold true to the history of Congress and the high standard of programming and networking you expect.

Throughout the event, you’ll be able to attend sessions delivered by your colleagues from across the nation and around the world—and access many more in the on-demand library. You can join live and ongoing networking designed by topic, interest or location/chapter. And, you have the opportunity to benefit from numerous career advising services.

No matter where you are on your leadership journey, we have much to share with each other and much to learn together as individuals and as a profession. And, the ACHE staff is just a click away if you need help navigating or accessing any part of the platform.

"No matter where you are on your leadership journey, we have much to share with each other and much to learn together as individuals and as a profession."

- Deborah J. Bowen, FACHE, CAE

On a personal note, I want to thank you for all you have done to serve your patients and your communities the past year. I also want to recognize your 2020 Chair, Michael Fosina, FACHE, for his selfless dedication of time and effort during the past year. His leadership has been truly inspiring. The guidance and insight of the entire ACHE Board this past year have been critical to this organization’s ability to stay on course through the turbulent waters of 2020. Thank you all for your leadership—you are the lifeblood of this organization. Finally, I want to welcome your new 2021 Chair, Carrie Owen Plietz, FACHE. I know she will serve with great distinction.

My best wishes for an enriching Congress, and I hope to see you very soon.

Warm regards,

Deborah J. Bowen, FACHE, CAE
