The membership requirement demonstrates commitment to the healthcare management profession and to ACHE.
- Membership does not have to be consecutive. You may have gaps, but the total years of active membership must add up to one year. Tenure is counted during the dates you are a paid, full Member, Faculty Associate or International Associate of ACHE.
- Faculty Associates International Associates interested in becoming board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of ACHE must first convert to Member status before submitting a Fellow application. Additionally, you must remain a member to hold the FACHE credential
- Student Associate tenure does not count toward the one-year requirement to become a Fellow.
Active member days are calculated from your join date. Additionally, you may not pay “back” membership to satisfy the one-year requirement.
