Lifetime Service and Achievement Award

 

The Lifetime Service and Achievement Award was created to recognize Life Fellows and Retired Fellows who have made outstanding, nationally recognized contributions to advance the profession of healthcare management and the American College of Healthcare Executives. This award is not necessarily bestowed every year.

The 2023 winner has been selected: Paul B. Hofmann, DrPH, LFACHE.

Criteria:

The nominee must:

  • Be a Life Fellow or Retired Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
    • Have contributed to ACHE in one or more of the following manners:
    • Held elected office (Chair, Governor, and/or Regent) and contributed to the advancement of ACHE.
    • Contributed as a volunteer to an ACHE committee or task force(s) that demonstrated service to ACHE members.
    • Provided outstanding leadership to an ACHE chapter and/or a Regents Advisory Council and achieved significant accomplishments assisting the Regent.
  • Have contributed to the profession of healthcare management in one or more of the following manners:
    • Displayed professional achievement in healthcare.
    • Recognized nationally for contribution to the healthcare field.
    • Demonstrated the highest standards of leadership in healthcare.
    • Is respected and recognized as a role model to peers in the healthcare field.
    • Be present at ACHE’s 2025 Congress on Healthcare Leadership to receive the commendation.

Note: Because the Gold/Silver Medal and Lifetime Service and Achievement Award criteria overlap, Gold/Silver Medal Award winners are not eligible for the Lifetime Service and Achievement Award.

To make a nomination, please submit an email confirming the name of the nominee by July 15, 2024. A notice will then be sent to the nominee with a request to submit additional information to support their nomination.
