Michael J. Fosina, FACHE, Installed as ACHE Chairman

 

For Immediate Release

CHICAGO, March 23, 2020—Michael J. Fosina, FACHE, president, NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital, Bronxville, and senior vice president, NewYork-Presbyterian, New York, has assumed the office of Chairman of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Fosina was installed by the Council of Regents. 

Fosina succeeds ACHE’s outgoing Chairman Heather J. Rohan, FACHE, president, HCA TriStar Division, Brentwood, Tenn. 

Board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow, Fosina has served on the ACHE Board of Governors since 2016. He also served as the ACHE Regent for New York—Metropolitan New York from 2013 to 2016 and on numerous ACHE committees throughout the years.

In addition to his service to ACHE, Fosina is active on several boards of professional and community organizations, nursing homes and senior centers, and is an advisory board member for the University of Delaware, College of Health Sciences; a member of the board of trustees for Silvercrest Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation; a board member for LiveOn NY (Council of Senior Centers); Westchester County Association; and the Business Council of Westchester. He also remains active as a Fellow in the New York Academy of Medicine and is a former Health and Aging Policy Fellow and a Congressional Fellow.

As Chairman, Fosina will serve the second part of a three-year term preceded by serving as Chairman-Elect and followed by serving as Immediate Past Chairman.
