American College of Healthcare Executives Announces 2019 Higher Education Network Award


CHICAGO. February 8, 2019—
The American College of Healthcare Executives has announced the recipients of its 2019 Higher Education Network Award.

The awards will be presented on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at the Leon I. Gintzig Commemorative Lecture and Luncheon during ACHE’s 62nd Congress on Healthcare Leadership in Chicago.

The 2019 winners of the Higher Education Network Award are:

  • Army-Baylor University, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, the graduate program that demonstrated the highest level of ACHE engagement
  • University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee,the undergraduate program that demonstrated the highest level of ACHE engagement

ACHE established the Higher Education Network Award to recognize those Higher Education Network participants whose programs have demonstrated a commitment to engagement with ACHE.

Higher Education Network Award applications submitted to ACHE are subjected to a thorough review by a panel of ACHE members. The panel reviews applications and assigns scores based on how many graduate program students become ACHE Members or Fellows and how many undergraduate program students become Student Associates or ACHE Members. Other criteria include program engagement with ACHE, local Regents and chapters, student-organized activities that advance healthcare management and other student-organized activities.
