ACHE Nominates New Chair-Elect, Four Board of Governors

CHICAGO, Jan. 6, 2023 – The American College of Healthcare Executive’s Nominating Committee has selected five leaders to be pre­sented for approval at the Council of Regents Meeting, March 18, to serve as Chair-Elect and Governor.

William “Bill” P. Santulli, FACHE, Midwest region president, Advocate Health, Charlotte, N.C., has been nominated for election as the 2023–2024 Chair-Elect of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Four ACHE Fellows were nominated to serve as Governor on the Board of Governors: Thomas B. Lanni Jr., FACHE, president, Corewell Health Beaumont Troy (Mich.) Hospital; Karin Larson-Pollock, MD, FACHE, chief quality officer, Providence–Puget Sound Region, Everett, Wash.; Frances C. Roesch, FACHE, director, Administration/Obstetrics & Gynecology Department, McMaster University/Faculty of Health Sciences. Hamilton, Ontario; and Solomon A. Torres, FACHE, deputy executive director/COO, Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, New York City.

All nom­inees have been notified and have agreed to serve if elected. All terms begin at the close of the Council meet­ing in March. The election will take place at the Council of Regents Meeting preceding ACHE’s 66th Congress on Healthcare Leadership in Chicago, March 20–23, 2023.

If elected, Santulli will serve a three-year term as Chair-Elect, Chair and Immediate Past Chair. Lanni, Larson-Pollock, Roesch and Torres will each serve a three-year term.

Santulli has served on the ACHE Board of Governors since 2020. Before joining an Advocate Health predecessor organization in 2001, he served as COO of the New England Medical Center’s Academic Medical Center, Boston, from 1999–2001.

Lanni is the ACHE Regent for Michigan & Northwest Ohio. Prior to his current position at Beaumont, he served as COO, Beaumont Health, Beaumont Dearborn (Mich.), from 2018–2022.

Larson-Pollock is the ACHE Regent for Washington. Prior to her current position at Providence–Puget Sound Region, she served as chief quality/analytics officer, Providence Regional Medical Center Everett (Wash.), from 2017–2022.

Roesch is the ACHE Regent for Canada. Prior to her current position at McMaster University, she served as executive director, Queen Square Doctors FHO, Brampton, Ontario, from 2016–2018.

Torres served as the ACHE Regent for New York—Metropolitan New York, from 2016–2019. Prior to his current position, he served as vice chairman, administration and health systems administrator, Orthopedics, at Mount Sinai Health System, New York City, from 2017–2019.
