ACHE Announces Recipients of Highest Individual Awards 2022

CHICAGO, Feb. 24 2022The American College of Healthcare Executives announces the following 2022 award winners: Michael J. Fosina, FACHE, is the recipient of the Gold Medal Award; Callie C. Andrews, FACHE, is the recipient of the Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year.

The Gold Medal Award—ACHE’s highest honor bestowed on outstanding leaders—identifies Fellows of the American College of Healthcare Executives who best exemplify leadership at the organizational, local, state/provincial and national levels. The Gold Medal Award recognizes individuals who go beyond the confines of their own organization to continually contribute to the improvement of healthcare services and community health.

Fosina is Immediate Past Chair of ACHE, having served from 2019 to 2020. He is formerly the president of NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, and senior vice president at NewYork-Presbyterian in New York. He will receive his award Monday, March 28, 2022, at the Opening Session during ACHE’s 65th Congress on Healthcare Leadership.

The Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year honors outstanding achievement in the field of healthcare management. The award is given to an exceptional healthcare executive who is younger than 40, is a Fellow of ACHE and holds a CEO or COO position in a healthcare organization.

Andrews is senior vice president and hospital COO of Wellstar’s Kennestone and Windy Hill Hospitals in Marietta, Georgia. She will receive her award on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at the Malcolm T. MacEachern Memorial Lecture and Luncheon during ACHE’s 65th Congress on Healthcare Leadership in Chicago.
