Michael J. Fosina, FACHE, Nominated Chairman-Elect of ACHE


CHICAGO, December 14, 2018—Michael J. Fosina, FACHE, president, NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital, Bronxville, N.Y., and senior vice president, NewYork-Presbyterian, New York, has been nominated for election as the 2019–2020 Chairman-Elect of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
 
The election will take place at the Council of Regents Meeting preceding ACHE's 62nd Congress on Healthcare Leadership in Chicago, March 4–7, 2019. If elected, Fosina will serve a three-year term as Chairman-Elect, Chairman and Immediate Past Chairman.
 
Board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow, Fosina has served on the ACHE Board of Governors since 2016. He also served as the ACHE Regent for New York–Metropolitan New York from 2013 to 2016 and on numerous ACHE committees throughout the years.
 
In addition to his service to ACHE, Fosina is active on the boards of several organizations, nursing homes and senior centers. He serves as an advisory board member for the University of Delaware, College of Health Sciences; a member of the board for Silvercrest Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation; and a board member for LiveOn NY (Council of Senior Centers). He also is an active Fellow in the New York Academy of Medicine and is a former Health and Aging Policy Fellow and a former Congressional Fellow.
