Ranu Nath specializes in diaspora engagement and migration movement. Ranu is currently a diaspora specialist with USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, where she contributes to the ongoing efforts to expand opportunities to engage diaspora communities for humanitarian assistance and disaster risk management. This includes managing USAID’s Center for International Disaster Information site, which aims to inform the public about the advantages of giving monetary donations to relief organizations.
Before joining BHA, Ranu worked with numerous organizations in different geographic contexts. For example, she provided technical assistance on a project focused on engaging the diaspora for alternative approaches to safe shelters in disaster response and preparedness in diaspora origin countries. Ranu holds a Master of Arts from American University, a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Bachelor of Arts from Ithaca College.
