Biography

Jessica Sapp, DrPH, is an associate professor in the School of Health Sciences at American Public University System. She has more than 15 years of experience in public health, working in government, hospital, health insurance, community, international, corporate, and academic settings. She earned her DrPH in Health Policy and Management at Georgia Southern University; her MPH in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior at the University of South Carolina; and her BS in Health Science Education at the University of Florida.

Dr. Sapp has held various leadership positions in healthcare and has helped early careerists develop. She has implemented internship programs, served as a preceptor, and was the internship director for the Health Services Administration program at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Sapp has prepared students for internships and, guided by her experience hiring healthcare employees, has assisted them in searching and applying for jobs, developing their resumes, preparing for interviews, and building their skills. Dr. Sapp is well versed in online branding and creating digital profiles.
