Partners in Diversity

  • Asian Healthcare Leaders Community: The Asian Healthcare Leaders Community is an ACHE member community that aims to increase representation of Asian-Americans in healthcare executive management, policy and administration through leadership and professional development for members in various healthcare settings and at all career stages.
  • Association of University Programs in Health Administration: AUPHA is a global network of colleges, universities, faculty, individuals and organizations dedicated to the improvement of health and healthcare delivery through excellence in healthcare management and policy education. Its mission is to foster excellence and drive innovation in health management and policy education, and promote the value of university-based management education for leadership roles in the health sector.
  • The Equity Collaborative: An active, self-driven learning community of large, leading healthcare organizations committed to fully inclusive gender equity within their own organization and across the health industry.
  • The Institute for Diversity and Health Equity: Co-founded by ACHE, the Institute works to expand leadership opportunities for minorities in health administration. Programs include student internships, education for professionals, a biannual conference and other initiatives that support this goal. ACHE partners with the Institute to promote the Summer Enrichment Program.
  • LGBTQ+ Healthcare Leaders Community: As an ACHE member community, the LGBTQ+ Healthcare Leaders Community works to enhance representation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender healthcare executives and to promote high-quality care for LGBTQ+ individuals and their families.
  • National Association of Health Services Executives: NAHSE is a non-profit association of Black health care executives that works to promote the advancement and development of Black health care leaders, and elevate the quality of health care services rendered to minority and underserved communities.
  • National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives: NALHE’s mission is to promote health equity for Latino/Latina communities by increasing Latino representation within healthcare systems, and by supporting policy, legislation, and regulation that improve health and health care for diverse communities.

ACHE Studies

Educational Programs

  • The Thomas C. Dolan Diversity in Executive Leadership Program supports a cohort of mid- and senior-level careerists who aspire to higher leadership roles and provides specialized curriculum opportunities addressing barriers in career attainment and developing executive presence.
  • ACHE's annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership is our premier event for providing diversity education for healthcare executives. At Congress, you and your peers have the unique opportunity to discuss diversity with issue experts. In addition, sessions are held that address how healthcare executives can form effective diversity policies.

Additional Resources

  • The Institute-ACHE Summer Enrichment Program Strategic Alliance is designed to grow and strengthen the pipeline of healthcare leaders who support health equity initiatives. Healthcare organizations are encouraged to become an SEP Host Site and graduate students are invited to apply to become an SEP intern.
  • Key LGBTQ+ Resources, including general information about LGBTQ+ community, national LGBTQ+ health initiatives and organizations and information for/about LGBTQ+ youth, families, elders, employees and service members.
