    Not sure where to begin

I graduated with my Masters in Health Services Administration in 2006 and since then have been with the Medical School at a University.  My current job is with the Institutional Review Board and does not allow me to apply what I have learned in school.  In the past two years I have been promoted to the Operations Manager managing at least 7 persons at one time and there is the promise of an Associate Director position in the near future, however I am interested in pursuing what I consider my calling in Health Care Management.  I am however unsure on where to begin.  Can anyone offer some advice?

    Thank you,

The promise of a position that carries more repsonsibility can be an obstacle, especially if you don't fell like you're using everything you've learned in school.  I would imagine that there would be a number of opportunities available outside of the IRB arena through the University you are employed.  I might suggest taking a look into those positions, as they might be more suited to your career path, enabling you to use all of the knowledge you have gained in your studies.

    Good luck,
