Baldrige Boot Camp
Helping organizations achieve higher performance and better results is healthcare leaders' primary job. The Malcolm Baldrige Health Care Criteria for Performance Excellence were created as a framework for addressing this challenge. This workshop will demystify the Baldrige journey by introducing the Baldrige criteria—with their key questions for driving improvement—in plain English. It also will reveal how healthcare organizations that have received the Baldrige award answered those questions and provide practical approaches to move provider organizations toward performance excellence. Significant time will be dedicated to applying Baldrige to real-life challenges experienced by attendees. This program's content will be valuable to any participant, not only those on a formal Baldrige journey.
CEO Boot Camp
The CEO Boot Camp will provide an overview of the primary determinants of CEO success, including: maintaining financial viability; creating a successful management team; working collaboratively with the medical staff; building strong ties with the board; and meeting the many needs of your patients and community. Learn to think through the key issues and execute well-developed strategies. This program is designed for those who have been healthcare CEOs for fewer than five years. Limited space is also available to those who are targeting the CEO role in the very near future.
COO Boot Camp

The COO Boot Camp will provide an overview of the essential skills needed to function as an effective COO. Learn to successfully meet the challenges faced by COOs and manage your strengths and weaknesses. This interactive program is designed for individuals who have been in the role of COO for fewer than two years. Middle Manager Boot Camp
This boot camp will expose mid-level careerists to the skills needed to lead a team, department or division with confidence. See how your role fits in the larger picture of the organization and what it takes to advance. Learn how to choose, coach and retain the members of your functional team. Discover the fundamentals of budgeting and resource allocation and how to focus on the key objectives and outcomes necessary for you to assume greater levels of responsibility and authority. Through hands-on exercises, learn more effective interviewing skills that lead to stronger hiring decisions. You will also learn the best ways to evaluate, coach and, when necessary, discipline your direct reports.
New Healthcare Leader Boot Camp
The healthcare environment is full of change, and there is tough competition to get and keep the best jobs. This program will provide recent graduates or those transitioning into healthcare management insights on self-reflective leadership, powerful communication and developing a strong network of support that will accelerate your career. Combining lecture, group exercises, practical tools and references, and a lot of candid discussion, this boot camp is an essential element for professional development. During the lunch session, each attendee will be paired with a senior executive to provide an experienced perspective on career success.
Physician Executive Boot Camp
The successful physician executive can serve and represent both clinical and managerial interests. New physician executives are challenged to incorporate very different models of managerial decision making, problem solving, communication and team building. They also must develop an understanding of financial management, IT, and legal and regulatory issues. This program is designed for physicians who have recently made the move to a full- or part-time physician executive position who are interested in further developing executive skills and for physicians who are considering a move into medical management.
