The most valuable benefit for me is networking. Second would be workshops based on current issues and challenges in healthcare and how the industry is adapting to them.

I second JBrown3. Networking is a massive benefit of the student associate position. Be it via hospital visits, presentations by local professionals or the Congress, the opportunity to meet devoted career professionals is fantastic.

Attending Congress is one of the most valuable membership benefits, as well as access to fellowships and job opportunities. I wasn't aware that ACHE offered these resources until after I became a member.

I would agree that the biggest potential is networking. Several of our students have come into healthcare programs without any exposure to a healthcare setting or facility. Having this type of access or input early in the graduate experience is essential.
