    Question 4

    4)   All affiliates are automatically a member of their local ACHE Chapter at no additional cost. ACHE encourages chapters to reach out to students in ways that will enhance their academic experience. Please provide some examples of programs and services valuable to students that you would like to see provided by chapters.

    Re: Question 4

Professionals from our local chapter gave brief talks on their career paths and characteristics of consulting, hospital administration, whatever.  I think one useful program might be to have local professionals walk us through a project they undertook recently.  Covering both the business and political issues faced (internal and external to org) would be of great value.

    Re: Question 4

I agree with CRichardson.  I also think that having a local job board where students could see examples of opportunities within their area (if they hope to stay).  It would also be wonderful if local ACHE chapters and local healthcare organizations partnered to ensure ACHE students were aware of entry-level jobs within those organizations.  ACHE students would be an excellent source of future talent for any organization.

I also agree. I think having speaker panels that talk about their career paths as well as experiences within the field would be very beneficial.  Entry-level job information would also be a great benefit to ACHE students.  Knowing what job titles to look for and finding entry-level positions are obstacles for many students.

    Re: Question 4

Attending panels and talks with hospital administrators in the area has been a great networking and educational experience  The experience could be enhanced with site visits and walk-around to the institutions.
