    Looking to move up

I spent years in a management postion, over multiple departments, in acute care hospitals.  I gathered skills in; employee management, team building, operation managment, developing budgets, building strategies to overcome barriers, and developing communications with physicians, empolyess, and venders.  I chose to leave my last position, and move back to my original state, to increase my education.  I have a Bachelors in Healthcare Admin, Masters in Public Health Admin, and MBA, and seem to be at a dead in.  I even recieved my Adult Care Home Administrators License, to help me in the rural health industry.  What steps do I need to take to increase my chances for an administration position.

    Dear Mr. Michler,

I would be pleased to consult with you about your career. Or, if you prefer, Dr. Reed Morton could speak with you when he returns to the office on January 14. (Dr. Morton is ACHE's key career counselor.) Thanks.

Peter Weil, PhD, FACHE, Vice President, Research 312-424-9440.

    Robert,

Per our follow up telephone conversation, in networking it is essential that potential contacts who could assist have a good understanding of your qualifications, desires and expectations.  Using a general approach as you started with here is giving only part of your story, possibly not enouigh to inform others as to how they can help.
