I am a 55 year old male formerly owner of a Durable Medical Supply company for 18 years. I decided I wanted to go back to school to earn my M.S. Degree in
Health Care Policy and Management with a Gerontology major. I have been looking for a year to find a position that would coincide with my degree upon completion. I have applied to Nursing Homes,Hospitals and Managed Care companies to no avail. I am not a clinician so I don't know if that is the reasoning for no jobs. I would be willing to start obviously at the beginning stages of hospital or nursing home administration. My background has purchasing,marketing,sales,operations there are very few things i haven't done. I am running out of ideas. Please advise in any capacity would be helpful.
