ACHE Message Boards

Hey everyone,

 I am a graduate student at the University of Utah in a joint MPA (Public Administration) / MHA (Health Administration) program.  Part of our graduation requirements include an admininstrative internship.  I know the topic has been explored for undergraduates, but if anyone has any need or knows of a possible internship for a graduate student, I would greatly appreciate it.  I am certainly open to relocating.

Dear Jeff:

When an academic  program establishes an administrative internship as a graduation requirement it ordinarily accepts responsibility for finding such opportunities.  If that is not the case with your program now, please suggest they consider doing so.  Otherwise, try working with your local ACHE chapter leadership.  It would be helpful to describe to them the length and expected content and evaluation process for an internship.
