Hello all - I am trying to learn if an administrative fellowship
experience is right for me. I am the Chief PA in the Div. of Surgical
Critical Care in an urban hospital with 9 years in EMS prior to
becoming a PA five years ago. I am masters-trained, but currently
pursuing another masters in public administration/health care policy
with hopes of graduating in 2011. I am looking at hospital-based
administrative fellowships (NYU in particular). What are others'
opinions regarding value of time spent in a fellowship? Will it provide
substantial exposure to the various administrative roles? Is it worth
the time and low pay? I realize not all programs are created equal . .
. your thoughts/advice are appreciated.
