Hello,

My name is Justin and I am a senior at Ohio University studying Health Service Administration and Long Term Care Administration. A major part of my graduation requirement is to complete two 400 hour internships in long term care administration and one 400 internship in general health care administration. I already have 2 long term care administrative internships under my belt but now I am looking to get experience in the other areas of health care administration.

Is anyone aware of internship programs  for undergraduates outside of long term care?

Hi Justin.  I'm director of the undergraduate HSA program at California State University, Chico.  We require a 300 hour internship.  Some of the sites we've used are shown at http://www.csuchico.edu/hcsv/hsainternsites.shtml.

Unfortunately, we do not currently have a resource for undergraduate internships, as this is something that's often handled at the local level through the interested party's respective university. Have you reached out to all of the available contacts at Ohio University?

I am in the same boat as you, a senior at Northern Illinois University Health administration program.  I have to complete a 360 hour internship to graduate and there is not many resources to help us undergraduates find these positions.  My university has lots of internship help for buisness and accountancy.... majors if you want to check out here, http://niu.experience.com/er/security/login.jsp , but these are not much help us health admin. people.
